Cafe Litteraire - Reserva de mesa

We absolutely loved visiting this lovely little café, we came across it when walking alongside the lake and discovered it served amazing food in the evening. We were wowed by the unique menu and locally sourced produce. The interiors kept your eyes wandering around with the artwork, books and authenticity. The food was easily the best meal we’ve had on our holiday in Vevey. So beautifully crafted to taste perfect! We were served by a lovely young gentlemen who has great English and good knowledge of the local area, he was very helpful and kind! We highly recommend this place, a quaint cafe by day and a beautiful authentic restaurant by evening!

We loved everything about Le Café Littéraire. The café itself is located opposite the lake with beautiful views and inside it is decorated with art and books making it feel relaxed and conversational. The food was amazing, all produce was locally sourced and some of the best food we have had in Switzerland. The staff were also very helpful and lovely. Thank you very much!

Since we discovered it we‘ve become regulars. I do not know of one place that manages to give me a holiday feeling each Saturday morning. Wonderful coffee, fresh juice, croissants, water for the dog and the best service thinkable: funny, entertaining and with a genuine smile . A five star place if ever there was one. I don't go there as much as I'd like but when I mooching around Vevey looking for a spot to chill, Le Café Littéraire is always my top choice. Everything invites you to stay for a while, the service is friendly and the food is tasty. They have great homemade lemonade! Reserva una mesa ahora

Used to go here often but had not been for a while. Poor service and for a dish appearing on their website for CHF 17.50 we paid CHF 20.50 maybe cashing in on the Fête des Vignerons, but not very honest.

This a very nice place, really attached to the library. The atmosphere is good. The food was OK. It wasn‘t tasty but a bit dull. At the end, we didn’t enjoy the lunch. The food was nothing special.

Lunch on the busy terrace on a sunny day. We had large, tasty vegetarian salads. The service was rather slow but freindly. I have also stopped there for coffee inside, which is quite cosy.

Lovely older style coffeshop with trendy food drinks, magazines and a library next door. Terrace with stunning views over the lake and the alps.
