Okay now to the good part, this place is a classic Italian Restaurant, fancy, nice place with excellent prepared dishes, superb service and everything is always delish! We had the Halibut and it was out of this world (highly recommend). But first the apps; crabcakes w/shrimp added a nice little twist from traditional, clams oregano sweet small lots of flavor, calamari tender just what you would expect. Cafe Testarossa has been a favorite spot of mine for a long time, and a recent visit did not disappoint. Along with my usual favorites like the veal meatball sliders and lamb chops, I also tried the new peach corn salad, which was absolutely delicious. They have added outdoor seating in the back, perfect for a summer evening. While I can't visit this restaurant weekly anymore since I no longer live in New York, I always make sure to stop by when I'm in town for work or for a Sunday dinner on my way back from being out east. My cousin's baby shower was held at Cafe Testarossa recently. From the moment we pulled the car up to unload the decorations and presents, etc., the staff was at the door to greet us and assist. They were extremely accommodating, polite, and gracious. As the party started, the drinks and passed appetizers were plentiful and delicious. The plated dinners were amazing, starting with an incredibly fresh green salad and 3 choices for the entrée. Each entrée was plated and presented beautifully, and all were amazingly delicious! Service, atmosphere, and recommended dishes all receive a perfect score of 5 at this restaurant. Some of the standout dishes include the pizza with broccoli rabe, grilled marinated octopus with escarole, ceci beans, and crushed tomatoes, as well as the fresh coconut creme brulee. Delicious! The food was amazing. So light and fresh. Fried calamari was the best I ever had. The branzino entree was seasoned perfectly. Our server was on point. Very attentive. Testarosa is truly one of the best places on Li. The food is consistently great and Billy the owner has made it a place to come and feel like you’re part of his family. It’s more than a place to eat and more of a place to come and feel like you’re going home for the perfect meal. There is nothing he could do to make it better. Perfect !!!

They have one of the best pasta dishes I’ve ever had in my life (Paccheri Pasta). Always a great experience. The chef’s cooking is impeccable.
