Cafe Siena is hidden in a department store Kusterman (which is a very good store) somewhere between Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt. One problem...finding a seat, and deciding which cake to try. The owner specifically asks if you want to add cream! It seems he would add...cream to everything.....and you are not charged extra for it ! The cakes are just mouthwatering and the portion is.....you are never going to ask for seconds, lets put it that way. My wife had a capuccino which was excellent and I had a very good hot chocolate (with cream). It just does not get any better. The owner and staff are helpfull an you just know they are there FOR YOU. Unlike many other cafés (Cafe Lutipold about which I just wrore another review) you are made to feel welcome here. The only fault I find.......they are closed when the shop is closed. So if you find the opportunity, do visit. If you don't, its your fault and you won't know what you've missed.

If you in the market for kitchen stuff, dishes, decorative items for the home, or tasteful Bavarian souvenirs, you cannot go wrong shopping at this store which has been in business for about two centuries. If they don't have it, you don't need it. After...browsing through the store, take a break at visit the the in-store Cafe Siena, situated on the ground floor but raised up a bit for 'people watching'. It is small, but you can usually grab a table. The cake slices are huge, so be hungry, and are delicious. There is also a small selection of sandwiches. The coffee is excellent and the prices reasonable. It may sound strange being in a cafe in the middle of a store, but it's worth it

This is a "must stop" when you visit Munich. The cafe is excellent and the manager/owner adds to your experience with his larger than life character. The choice of kuchen is extensive, and the coffee is first class. After coffee you can explore...the store which offers a fantastic range of home associated products cooking, hardware, etc

Was just browsing in the kitchenware store Kustermann and found this little cafe upstairs. Very homely atmosphere. Cakes looked and tasted like they were from somebody's grandmother's kitchen made with lots of love. Great find and highly recommended!
