Dinner at the last minute on a Saturday night... Caffeitalia had a spare table so off we go!.
We were quickly seated and asked for drinks of Italian beer and LLB for my wife. As they arrived we ordered aranchini to share for entrée and oven roasted goat and lamb shanks for mains.
The aranchini was dry and couldn't find any cheese in it. Of the 4 balls we only ate 2.
My lamb shank was full of flavour and fell off the bone..., so much so that I couldn't pick it up with my fork... Literally. My wife's goat was tender and full of flavour, although a tad salty.
The service was attentive and quick. The ambience was nice. Wouldn't rush back but wasn't too bad.

Pasta is my ultimate comfort food and being hungover, I was beyond excited to fill up on a delicious pasta. In choosing somewhere to order from, under the advisement of colleagues that Caffe Italia was "amazing", I ordered a take out Pasta Contadina.
The serving size was gigantic but it was all pasta with a tiny bit of chicken and mushrooms. There was almost no sauce, was supposed to be a creamy tomato sauce, so it was really dry and there was literally no flavour to it AT ALL. The disappointment felt was immense. Won't be back.
Needless to say, I will no longer trust any one of my colleagues when it comes to a food recommendation.
Never got to even try the food, was with 2 friends and we were intending on getting a pizza to share... when the waitress came she said that we had to order one main per person at a minimum... nowhere is this stated.. so they lost out on our business and I won't be recommending them to anyone else. Stop being so pretentious and start treating people with respect.

This place delivers what they promise - comfortable middle of the price point Italian food. I was dining by myself - was warmly welcomed; the service was great and the food really good. They were gracious and even a little flattering when I tried to practise my Italian which was an added bonus If I were back in Perth I would certainly come back.

Busy and polite staff. Didn't like the arancini much, quite dry but you can't like everything! Had to take half a point off because the toilet is through the foyer out the alley and services the car park..... it's not safe and it's not clean.
Absolutely love this place.
I am from Melbourne but do considerable travel to Perth and this is one place I always make sure I eat (quite often more than once per visit!)
Great service and fabulous food good value for money.
My partner is Italian so hard to please when it comes to here cuisine. But she is very impressed!

Fantastic semi-casual Italian Restaurant. Roberto the owner/manager goes above and beyond with every customer and the food surpasses it's affordable price tag. Will always recommend.
