It was my last meal in Woodland Hills, so my wife treated me to a dinner at CPK. We wanted to try out the ambiance of the restaurant. We were seated comfortably in a corner and our server quickly took our drink orders. We opted for fresh lemonade and also ordered our pizzas right away as we were very hungry. We chose the Original BBQ Chicken Pizza and the Jamaican Jerk Chicken Thin Crust Pizza. We also asked for a recommended dessert and decided on the Butter Cake without ice cream.
While waiting for our lemonades, I noticed that the restaurant was quite busy for a Thursday. When our pizzas arrived, they looked delicious and appetizing.
We used to come to CPK anytime we at the mall, which was very often.The food and the service was fantastic. The pandemic made us to take a brake, but we are back and the food was as good as before. The barbecue chicken salad and oriental pizza was fresh and very tasty, even more than before, the Sicilian is as good.. I like the chicken wrappings and normally getting it as an appetizer, instead of the regular salad. The service could improve a little, took al little longer than normal to get our plates. But its OK, we were getting stuffed with the white bread and olive oil.
It's sad to say, but our service at this location, (Armando), was extremely poor. Bread didnt hit our table until after the appetizer, my water glass was empty until the manager came by to fill it for us. He seemed to ignore our table and be quick to run off once he brought something to our table. We saw him give the light of day to many other tables except ours and one other couple across from us who came in way after we did. Ask for a another waiter if you get this guy.
Short staffed. Walk ups had 10-15 minutes wait while I counted 10 empty tables and 10 empty bar seats inside. Waitress seemed pre-occupied. She was attentive to the table next to us but it took 15 minutes from when we sat down and ordered until our drinks arrived. We were served bread and without having her attention in order to ask her as she walked away, had to get up and get our plates and setups from an empty table.

After flying out here from Asia after over 2 years of pandemic to discover our 1st meal at California Pizza Kitchen that the food was so dissapointmented. We ordered Chicken Tequila Fettuccine from the picture of the menu. Here is what it looks like. No where near it. The waitress was nice enough to ask if we want to change but we said we will try anyways. Conclusion was a huge dissapointmen.
Not very good customer service waitresses came took our order and that was last time she came to our table never returned to check if we needed refills etc. I like coming to CPK first time at this location and last.
cpk was wonderful. it is the open table app that was disappointed. I used the app, but then I found out that although I went through open table, I did not get points.
I love CPK! The food is excellent, the decor is beautiful, and the overall experience is fantastic.
