Great little spot I always used to go to all the time for their pan con queso bread with cheese) and alfajores a South American cookie with caramel and powdered sugar on top). Would recommend this place for those pastries alone. Their food is also very fairly priced for what you get. Got a plate with steak, rice and plantains $11.75) and a mango drink $3.75). Filled me up, the meat was high quality and a good portion, fulfilled all my expectations along with the rice and plantains. I checked their menu for their pastries/breads and they range from as little as $1 to $4 so really budget friendly for sweets. They've updated their interior and it looks modernized compared how it used to look, g...

I did a search for Colombian food near me and Calima came up. I took a chance and went there. I felt welcome as soon as I walked through the door. A display case of delicious baked goods and the aroma of good food being prepared in the back. I ordered some food and waited a standard amount time. I took my food home and although my empanadas were missing I enjoyed everything else. The food was delicious not overcooked or dried out. I am happy Calima turned out to be a hidden gem. If you like Colombian food at a great price you should stop in. I will certainly visit again and try something different

I love Calima. Its my local Colombian spot that helps me get my empanada, bandeja paisa, pan de bono, alfajores, sancocho, etc etc fix. I hate driving all the way to Elizabeth for good spanish food so I'm appreciative I have Calima. Its just a small takeout spot though they do have a few small tables and counters (outside of pandemic people do eat here). I love it and you can't beat their pricing. Their chicharon could be better (can sometimes be a bit dry from time to time) but I'm okay with it.

The portion sizes are smaller compared to other Colombian restaurants—definitely not enough for leftovers at home. For me, they’re just enough to satisfy my cravings. It’s a cozy little restaurant with around four tables for two people each, and there’s outdoor seating available during the summer. Reserva una mesa ahora

There was a hair in my alfajor todayy DISGUSTING!!! There?s a lot of people that come here but I feel that they don?t wanna drive all the way to Elizabeth; the food is not bueno, is getting worse; but if you want to eat real (80% Colombian food then have to make the drive to Elizabeth.

Whenever I'm in Edison for work, I make it a point to stop here for lunch and some baked treats. Everything is always fresh and delicious. It almost feels like I'm back in Colombia!

Empanadas ordered for my office were not good at all, they had no meat without taste!!! I called them to advise and they couldn't care less, would never go back!

This is the worst Spanish food I've ever had. Don't waste your money visiting this restaurant.
