Disappointing. Disappointing service and bad food. I’m a member of a club whose members informally meet for a meal before we go off to our meeting. We’ve been going to the Canada Bay Club for a number of years. It was our first time back...tor a long due to covit. Previously the food from the bistro was acceptable but at least it was timely. The new brassiere decor is nice so full marks to the architect and builders. We arrived very early evening (Tuesday), the club was not busy and never got busy while we were there. We went to Canada Bay Club for our families' two birthday celebrations; we hadn't been there for exactly twelve months, so we expected much more than we got last time. Not so it wasn't going to be. Our group of twelve people mostly had...a complaint about their meals. To be fair only three people like their meals two were the salmon and one was the prawns and linguini. The salmon was good because it is an australian fish no ring-ins there. The main complaint from the group was the beer battered fish and chips (two people had this) we only found out later the fish was called Bassa a cheap fish from Vietnam enough said. Went to Bayasia Chinese for the first time in a very long time. We used to come here a lot when it was Wings and the food was constantly good and the price was what you expected. Food is still good, but it has gotten...quite expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. The food is overpriced for a club, the price for drinks however is extortion ! I paid and change for schooner of beer and small Fanta....whats that about? Service is slow, we ordered entree, soup and mains. Entrees came out super quick, then came the mains (were expecting soup) then the soup. I am a Member of this Club and have been for many years. My family love going to the Chinese restaurant and always feel well looked after and welcome. However on this occasion we were at a private function and found the service and food...to be very poor. The head waiter seemed to be more interested in parading around speaking in Italian then being hands on. The meals were poorly prepared and several others at our table commented that they were not happy. I bought drinks, Schooner of Aussie beer and Middies of shandy and was charged Price gouging at it’s best. Over the past months the front of the club has been refurbished to provide an al fresco dining area for an expanded Brassiere. We decided to support our local club and have dinner there. Very disappointed in quality of the meals provided. The chicken...schnitzel was deep fried in oil used for fish cooking and you could taste it. The chips looked like they were cooked the night before and the salad was underwhelming to say the least. The grilled chicken was overcooked on a hot plate and as dry as a sand dune while the vegetables were swimming in butter and unappealing. If this club wants to attract the locals it does need to provide a better offering.

The reviews regarding dining at this restaurant were accurate based on our own experience. While they provide a tax bill as required, they do not accept payment receipts, which is inconvenient. Additionally, they add a credit card surcharge without clearly indicating it on the bill. This lack of transparency can be frustrating, as it makes it difficult to reconcile the total amount paid until receiving the credit card statement from the bank days later. It would be more helpful if the tax bill clearly outlined all charges to match the payment on the bank statement.

Its inconceivable that directors cannot see the drop in club revenue from their restaurants. There isn't a single member who complaining ud have to not have eaten for a week, to stomach the tasteless fare. Can we as members revolt? There is obviously...an agenda here, bcz blind Freddie can see that it's hard to find any patrons where you could not drop a pin once. We d like the old caterers back, who used to fill the club with laughter

Had a take away delivery, fried rice not up to usual standard, short soup very disappointing, and chicken omelette was inedible, strong beef gravy and that was all you could taste through the chicken and the omelette, gave it to the dogs, San choy bow...tasted completely different to what you get when you eat at the club, overall a waste of If it is new chef not very impressed Reserva una mesa ahora

We had the Lamb shanks for lunch and our friends had different dishes. The lamb shanks were delicious and we all enjoyed the meal. I am surprised at some of the bad reviews I’ve seen here. Maybe it has changed for the better?
