Fat Fish would have to be one of the best Fish 'n' Chipperies I have been to recently. Good range of fish to choose from - battered or grilled; home made salmon patties; chicken and a wonderful range of salads.There are always a lot of customers milling around outside this shop and the trade is brisk throughout the day into the evening. It is a family run business. I often go there just to get the salads of which there are about 12 varieties which are always fresh. The choice of seafood is excellent and the amazing colourful and always tasty salads are a real treat. You can choose from the traditional fish & chips; grilled or crumbed. Their salmon cakes are worth going for as well. Very friendly staff...be prepared to wait it's a popular local haunt...but worth the wait.
As a local I have frequented Fat Fish on say an every second monthly basis. The food is good but on the pricy side. Shame about the service. Feels like they don't want your business. I don't understand how local businesses think they can run to their full potential without making the locals feel important!!
The salads, burgers, frittatas, fish and chips, all beautiful. Delicious, actually. Simple foods done well and for that I'll always return. Just a little put off by the service. Blondish girl has an attitude and the owners are a little gruff (unless you know them well). The food makes it worthwhile though.

Always a popular place and therefore there are queues at peak times but the service is pretty quick. The fish is great. My fav is the salmon. The salads are great. Try the broccoli and chicken one if you get a chance. If you want fish and chips in Annandale this is your place
No matter how many times we go, no matter how busy it is, the food is always consistently good. If you need a quick meal to take home, or eat on the tables in front of the shop on the street, it will never let you down . Can't beat family owned and run businesses.
Busy as usual at meal times and high turnover of food. Freshness and variety. My favourite is Annandale special of grilled fish fillet with chips and choice of salad. Chips are never greasy and fish always fresh. John always has a witty joke or two!!

Nice burgers and chips cheap and easy to just take away and have for dinner. Great range of foods. Friendly staff.
Seriously good fish! We only had takeaway, but it was great. Wish we had gone again during our trip.
