However, there was a significant delay between the soup and main courses. When the meals finally arrived, I received the correct dish, but my companion got the wrong one. Then, they took back the misdelivered dinner, and when it returned, it was cold. Because of this, I deducted a star from my rating. That said, it seemed like other diners received their food in a timely manner, so it was likely just an isolated issue. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and look forward to coming back.
I ordered a chicken sandwich, which shouldn't be difficult to get right, but unfortunately, it was a disaster. The chicken was dry and tough, and the bread was so overly toasted that it turned into a cracker. My friend chose the burger, but after just two bites, I can say it was just as dry. I really wonder who was in the kitchen. Save yourself the time and money—this place isn't worth it.
The hamburger was very dry and overcooked, although I specifically asked for medium. The beer was probably irrigated because it didn't taste like a Sam Adams that is my favorite. And what about the staff who clean the parking lot and the lawn in their white coats that they use to cook and serve food???? The health department should shut you down!
I visited the Canal House and found it to be quite delightful. The staff was outstanding, and the Prime Rib was absolutely delicious. The bar offers 20 different types of beer, and the atmosphere was very friendly. There’s live music all weekend long. I would definitely make this my go-to spot for dinner and drinks! Employees friendly and accommodating, great food and atmosphere. Felt like home. Patrons and staff honest. Dropped my license and debit card and it was turned in. I will return here and recommend The Canal House to anyone I know. Thank you to all. :
Wow! The new chefs and menu are fantastic. I highly recommend the charcuterie platter and the braised short ribs. The kitchen staff and bartenders are exceptional. I can't wait to return!
Delicious food and excellent service from Anthony! The desserts are truly fantastic. Great value for the money! I would definitely dine there again!
