We ordered an appetizer, a salad, and a dinner to share. Just a heads up, there is a small fee for splitting an entrée, but we found it entirely reasonable—thanks to our server for the tip!
For our appetizer, we had the Artichoke Dip, which was absolutely luxurious and delicious. The crunchy bread provided for dipping was perfect as well.
For the salad, we opted for the Caesar side salad, which was fantastic. I may have to return just for a full-sized version with anchovies next time.
As for the main course, we tried the Shrimp Macalester, and it was delightful. It had just the right amount of flavor and sauce, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. Be sure to save some bread to scoo...
My first visit here was a few weeks after they opened, soon after I moved to Minnesota. I’ve been back time and time again. Food? Delicious! Service? Exemplary! Atmosphere? Warm and inviting! Value? Outstanding! I go back because I love and live near this place and I feel comfortable there. I’ve read all the reviews, including the few unpleasant ones. I don’t know what the underlying unhappy peoples’ problems are, and frankly don’t care. People are certainly entitled to their opinions, and I think it speaks more to the character of the minority complainers and their attitudes then about the eatery. I’m glad they’re going elsewhere. More opportunities for me.
This charming little Italian restaurant is simply the best! The atmosphere is delightful, the service is excellent, and the food is fantastic! We enjoyed the bruschetta and artichoke dip, both of which were delicious. The balsamic drizzle added a nice tang. The homemade bread served with the salad was amazing! Every entrée we ordered was wonderful, and the portion sizes were generous—so much so that we had to take leftovers home. The flourless chocolate cake and tiramisu were absolutely irresistible! I highly, highly recommend this place. Be sure to make a reservation and enjoy your meal!
Food and atmosphere were amazing. It was an intimate restaurant with authentic Italian food. We enjoyed our experience very much. The people filling our waters and clearing the tables were friendly and attentive. My only complaint was that in the hour and half we were in the restaurant, our server maybe came by twice to check on us.

Shelly manages the front of the house exceptionally well. She is very knowledgeable and provides highly personalized service, genuinely caring that every guest enjoys their experience. The delicious food only adds to the overall enjoyment. Food: 5/5.
This place knows how to make amazing food. It has a great little space for dine in (for a date approved) and affordable. I get the fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parm to go all the time. Always consistent and my go to for st paul pasta!
Absolutely wonderful! The best pasta I've ever had, and her Alfredo sauce is divine! The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing and the service was top Notch. Absolutely no complaints! I will come back very often!
