Went here after trying the burnt honey cake that my brother bought for my moms birthday. Location: limited parking on the street. There was alot of drainage construction going on when we went. Atmosphere: dim, comfortable, plants, cute signs, andvery nice inside. Smelled like essential oils. Walk up to the counter to order and they will give you items right away or bringto you. Clean dining area and bathrooms. Tables and bar style seating. Inside and outside seating. There were people inside thatworked on their laptops, hung out with friends and enjoyed coffee/snacks. Food: chocolates, Gelato, cake, baked goods, coffee.I 100% recommend the burnt honey cake! It's light and delicious. Unlike any cake I've ever had before. I'm not much of a sweeteater but I could eat this entire cake! My mom also liked the berry Gelato and said it reminded her of a Gelato she had in herchildhood. Prices: not horrible but a little confusing to know how much some things cost. For example, a sign said a piece ofthe burnt honey cake was $8, but I was charged $6.50 $6 feels more fair than $8 to be honest). Service: Very nice and patient.Allowed us to sample the Gelato options. There were only 2-3 workers at the counter when we went, but they handled the guestsvery well. I never felt rushed.

Carpe Diem is, in my opinion, the best place in Lafayette to enjoy gelato, coffee, tea, and wine, in a pleasant environment. The service is excellent, as is the quality of the pastries offered. There is a wide array of well-made gluten-free cakes andcookies, as well as fresh croissants every morning. Recently, they've added chocolate croissants on the menu, which are the realdeal (if you are a viennoiserie buff like myself... . If you're really hungry, the savory crêpes, croissant sandwiches, andcheese plates await, possibly paired with some good wine.

Cool coffee shop, love the plants minus having to duck in order to walk in because of the plants but minor issue. Place is cool, staff is nice and helpful. I tried an iced chai and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tried their burnt honey cake and its officiallymy new favorite pastry dish. Indoor and outdoor seating. Wuiet enough to study. Wine is served there too.

Upon entering one of the workers hounded me to order something. I usually like to settle in before I browse the menu and order and no other cafe in Lafayette has had a problem with that. It seems like the owner values making a profit over the comfort ofher guests it?s just poor business etiquette to say the least.
