Well worth the effort to get to the restaurant. We skied there via the Chamois run which can be tricky towards the end if not bashed and the last hill needs a leap of faith if not a confident skier, but you can always dismount and walk. This was our forth season visiting the restaurant and we’ll always make a visit to this lovely little chalet when we ski Alpe D’Huez. The food is excellent and we had some fun banter with Justine whom we remember from previous visits. There’s not a lot of space inside so book early or prepare to sit outside in all weather. The staff were kind enough to make space for us inside to finish our meal when the weather turned. Thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable meal
The location of this restaurant is half of it's appeal...Spectacular panoramic views outside on the terrace sundeck but also highly atmospheric inside....Foodwise this is about grilled meat...andouillette and steak tartare...so not for the inner vegan...matched with a hearty Cotes du Rhone this is one of my favourite places for a long lunch....Ski hard in the morning and relax here in the afternoon...then try and find your way home...
Everything is perfect! the restaurant is close to the lakes, the warm and smiling welcome, the quality of the dishes and the service, good value quality Cooking meats with wood fire, a dauphinois gratin to fall. I strongly recommend this restaurant, everything is gathered to treat you

We are refugees at the lake cottage to escape a storm and we have not regretted it. The blueberry pie and waffles are delicious. Moreover smiling and pleasant service which also deserves the detour.
