If you've read any of my previous reviews, you'll know that there are three main things my wife and I look for when we're searching for a good meal: food quality, ambience/atmosphere, and the customer service experience. I’m pleased to say that Charles Dickens Pub excels in all areas! After spending the day at the Oxford Renaissance Festival, we wanted a satisfying meal to end our trip. Woodstock was on our way back to Toronto, so after a quick Google search, we were impressed by what the pub had to offer. Woodstock. Moving from BC and now living in Ontario we have found an eatery that has consistently made great hand crafted home comfort food on each of our visits. This weeks lunch was most excellent. Sweetie had a Chicken Pot Pie w/Coleslaw and I devoured the perfect Lamb on Nann Burger w/ crispy fries, and w/ pub curry gravy. The Beef Dip is hard to be passed up which is still hard not to reorder. I am now at peace knowing that the family run Charles Dickens Pub make in house great food with a passion serving the best made by hand. One great place to meet friends and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.

Used TripAdvisor to find a place to eat in Woodstock, chose Charles Dickens Pub. Best Choice! We ordered a blood ceasar and a g+t. Drinks were meh. For dinner, we ordered haddock fries, and liver onions. Absolutely delicious! Haddock was thick with a thin and crispy batter. Liver was so tender, and the gravy with onions and bacon were generous. It was busy for a weeknight. Lots of locals, I think.

This pub in Woodstock is my favorite spot. I enjoyed every moment here, especially on Sundays when I savored the delicious Guinness. It felt like a taste of home in England. The staff was exceptional and made the experience even better. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Don't just take my word for it, go check it out yourself. I'm looking forward to returning someday. Cheers!

Great place to dine and have some fun. It was wing night and they were awesome start of our meal! I had the Yorkshire Pudding Bowl Roast Beef and it was unbelievably delicious! The toffee bread pudding was a great finisher. Ambience was great and the service was awesome! Prices are great for quantity and quality. Only street parking available

It’s been too long, since eating here. The pub wasn’t as busy as usual, partially due to the number of unvaccinated people in the area. We ordered a pint of our favourite beers and I ordered bangers and mash. My husband ordered their fish tacos. Food was hot and delicious!! Our server was terrific!!

I had lunch at this restaurant yesterday and it was great to be back. We have only visited twice since the start of the pandemic. Our server was delightful, friendly, and attentive. I ordered the beef dip and my husband got the club sandwich. Everything paired nicely with our pints of Kilkenny.

My husband and I enjoyed lunch here yesterday. As always the service and food were exceptional! I had the breakfast special and my husband had the lamb burger. This will continue to be our go-to on Saturdays when we have errands to run.

The fish was cooked to perfection, as was our order of chicken wings,. the service was impeccable. I would have given it a 5 star rating, except for the fact, the french fries were not hot or the least bit crisply

Excellent service and food. Fish and chips are the best! Fish tacos are unbelievable. Chicken fingers were soooo crispy and tasty and the censor salad amazing.
