1st time we visited the food was good the 2nd time was ok the third time we were 15 people and some of the food was ok. However the caesar salad was terrible, in both the senior (served in a soup bowl) and the so called larger size (same amount on a larger plate). Croutons were many and very dry. Could not taste any dressing at all. We understand there maybe staff shortages, but there is no excuse for a bad salad, when the dressing is preprepared. Good atmosphere, clean but slow service on all 3 occasions. Stick to the schnitzel, which maybe their signature dish. Shame, we won't be going back.
Food used to be fantastic and service prompt. Not anymore! Went there for husband's birthday dinner. Had to chase server around to get service. A tiny bottle of water was given to a table of four that wasn't enough to fill half of the each glasses. Had to wait another ten minutes before we could get another tiny bottle of water. Everything we ordered were salty we couldn't stop drinking water all night long. Very sad! We used to love going there for a quick grab of good food.
Bland menu choice. Porterhouse steak, ordered medium came out rare and tough. Grilled Barramundi was undercooked and gooey. All of our chips were remnants overdone and cold. Table of 4x only 1x was happy. At least the wine was good. Maybe the Saturday night rush was too much for them. We did have a 6.30 booking though.
Absolutely an amazing RSL! We popped in here as a guest and was welcomed by multiple lovely staff members. The service was fast and food was absolutely delicious. Highly reccomend the Porterhouse Steak. If we happen to be in the area anytime in the future, I would definitely dine in again!!

Had lunch their today after going to DFO Moorabbin with my sister. Lovely little RSL. Has a lounge with fireplace, cosy. Also pokies and bistro. Staff friendly and efficient. My meal chicken parmigiana was nice. My sister's meal was a bit salty. She had sausages and mash.
Sunny day so our window table offers enticing views of the garden. Many planes flying by at low altitude to land at Moorabbin airport kept our grandson entertained. Food was delicious, service friendly and professional. What more could you wanted.
First time dining at the Cheltenham RSL and was very pleasantly surprised. Facilities are clean and well presented. The food quality is good and the staff are very attentive and helpful. 5 stars doesn't do this place any justice....it's that good.
Had a catch up with family and friends. Nice selection on menu. Service was great, stayed for a while without pressure to move on. Updated As before, meals were okay bangers and mash was more sausages and puree.

Bad service. Had to get up to go to a server to order food and ask for anything else. Asked for to go box, as they served huge amounts of food. And they don't allow for that. What a waste
We enjoyed a nice lunch in a lovely environment. Staff were all very pleasant, welcoming and attentive. Will certainly be back to enjoy the venue and try other offering on the menu.
