Chemainus Bakery & Deli

We (4 adults and 2 youngsters) stopped here on our way to catch a ferry. A pleasantly relaxed bakery with a good amount of seating, casual but good quality tea coffee facilities and a brilliant selection of exceptionally tasty cakes and pastries as well...as breads. This really is a treasure not to be missed if looking for that light refreshment of good quality we'll certainly look at stopping here if passing this way again worth a detour from Highway 1 (Trans-Canada).

Strolling around looking at the murals and stopped in for coffee and a snack on a Thursday afternoon. Lots of locals who are clearly regulars. Coffee was good, large selection of sweet and savory baked goods. There were 6 of us and each had a...different choice and all were very tasty. Took us back to our childhood when the smells from the bakery made your mouth water. Well worth a stop.

my partner ordered a donut and said it was the best he ever had. I had the apfelstrudel and it was amazing. my sister ordered a buttercake and said it was amazing. we also bought cake and bread. everything. was delicious. this place uses real ingredients, with old school baking methods, and it shows in quality. I can never be happy, made with bought factory strudel again.

I love this place. I often buy their Best of Harvest bread and their apple pies. Take the pie home. heat it up at 375 for 20 minutes, and enjoy! They also have hard-to-find Eccles bread for our Brit pals, Cornish pasties, and so much...more. It's a homier (and less expensive) alternative to Utopia in uptown Chemainus. Patronize it and you won't be disappointed.

in the interior of the old town bank building, still with the old walkable vault, turned into an exclusive dining room for small parties! great use of the space and great selection of tasty meals! suppen sandwiches to die for lunch. a must stop when you're going through chemainus!

Went here a few times during our Chemainus stay to get donuts. Was recommended to us by someone we met walking around town. Did not disappoint. Great sausage rolls and pasty as well.

Adorable little town hidden! Just like Gilmore Girls setting Great place for coffee and muffin or breakfast! Lots of cute stores on Wilson st. Love the parks and waterfront views!

it depends on cornish pastie donut. large bakery to have light lunch items (meat cakes such). they also sell various broth varieties. we're gonna be through next time!

we got a snack here visit town it was recommended by our airbnb host and we enjoyed eating the personal is friendly and atmosphere is great
