I used to come here often but they are too expensive now. Came here on 5/25 for table service and ordered a beef noodle soup. The waitress was an Indian lady instead of the normal Asian lady owner. The Indian lady printed me a receipt with a surprise mandatory 20% !!! tip on it. The tip was not optional. Normally, I will give about 15% tip with cash and 18% tip with credit card but maybe more depending on how I feel. I paid cash thinking I would get a discount but she said it was same price credit and cash. 20% tip is outrageous. Why would I pay cash if there is no discount? There is no benefit. With a credit card, I get the convenience of not needing to carry cash and I get points. In total...

I have gone to this restaurant twice.First time: great food and the waitress who was Indian was lovely 5/5. Gave a good tip too.Second time: horrible service. Horrible. I went for lunch and got a Asian waitress. She asked me what I wanted to drink. I said Diet Coke. She’s like I have Diet Pepsi. I said no thank you. And then she said okay okay I have Diet Coke. I will get it. When she brings my soup out next half of the soup is on the plate she brings it out in. It’s like she was in a rush to get things done, which I would have understood if the restaurant was packed. I was the only customer. I used to love this place and frequent often. I noticed the deterioration of the restaurant over the past couple visits but my last visit will be just that, my last. Service was horrible, and though the food is usually good I was incredibly disappointed when my favorite dish came served over chopped romain instead of the normal peppers and greens. When I asked my server about it she made it out like I was stupid and had no clue what I was talking about.... Yet I have ordered this EXACT dish with 0 modifications probably close to 20 times. Ok. So here's the nitty gritty. I've eaten at this restaurant over a decent span of time and this is my most honest review. Food is very good. Well flavored and many options. Overall decor is dated, but clean enough. Now for the service.. it is incredibly off putting to be asked to pay cash even before you order. It was rushed and curt with how they want to take your order. Our server Mancy was very nice and had a smile the entire time. Not sure if we will be back

First time at Cheng Du, happened to be in the area. There was a large party going on but they accommodated my party of 2. Menu is extensive and seems to be adding dishes as some were written in. It seems to me the restaurant is a little more geared toward authentic Chinese, similar to some of the Chinatown restaurants, which I loved. Food was great, server was very nice. She practically was serving the party and us by herself. Would definitely recommend

A authentic szechuan chinese restaurant in a world where general tsos and orange chicken are the usual go to staple, am i in the right place? Did they open in the right location? Either way i was pleasantly surprised driving out to this neck of the woods and seeing something as authentic as cheng du chinese cusine, i can only hope this tend continues. Judging by the reviews here it seems like the locals feel the same way about this restaurant.

Ordered a bunch of stuff for pickup to try: Lo mein, general Tso chicken, wonton soup and the pork fried rice. Everything was SO delicious and fresh. The portions were also very sizable. The staff was so friendly and the food was ready so quickly. The restaurant itself is quite massive and clean. This is a great Chinese restaurant. I'll definitely be back!

Mancy, our server, was so super friendly. She was the real star of our dinner so hope she stays ! The food is excellent as always. We usually get the spicy green sour pepper fish and the sweet and sour pork was crispy and tasty. Best Chinese in the area. Also, had a delivery nightmare situation and the worker at Cheng Du tried to remedy the situation by making a fresh order at no charge and getting on the phone and yelling at Grubhub. With that kind of service, I'll give them my money every time.

The service and the food was phenomenal. The shrimp and pork dumplings are a must. The noodles were delicious. Definitely will return. The server Michelle was very nice and attentive.
