We had a table overlooking the harbour from La Chaume across to Les Sables watching the boats coming and going. Amuse bouche to start, a fish pate. Lovely food, especially a wonderfully rich fish soup, packed with goodies and so very tasty. Highly recommended. Then a fish dish, dorade, which was moist and delicate. Beautifully cooked. Last a home cooked pineapple and apple crumble which was just fabulous . The waiter was most attentive, friendly and efficient even when one of my friends knocked his fish soup all over the table, his trousers and his coat. The waiter mopped him up delicately and then replacing the bowl of soup again with a new full bowl. I was rather jealous! Fish must be the best option here, just by the port. I recommend La Chaume , on the other other side of the port to Les Sables, much quieter. Travel there by electric boat Le Passeur. It has a delightful old quarter hidden away behind the restaurants , as good as Cornwall, very scenic with great wall paintings if you can find them, well worth a hunt and a stroll to digest an excellent meal. House wine, vin rouge, rather ordinary however.

We stayed in Les Sables for six days and ate here for two evenings. The staff were very efficient and friendly. The food was great. Do try the terrine saumon et merlu, it 's fabulous. The steaks were very tender, knife through butter! My husband likes his bien cult and it was! Many thanks.

The staff were extremely welcoming and attentive throughout. The restaurant offered a good variety of dishes. The food was well presented and of an excellent standard. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Our third time here. Beautifully cooked presented food. Very friendly helpful staff. If coming from Les Sables to La Chaume take the water taxi. One word of warning, the stairs to the toilet are pretty lethal.

The new management has greatly improved the range and prices of their menus. The cook is excellent and sea food is great, Overall very warm welcome a place to visit and remember
