This is primarily a take out pizza place on the main road by the Intermarche in the Croix-Michaud shopping area. There are a few tables out front if you want to eat there, and parking is easy enough for take out. Steph runs the place on his own, is very friendly, and doesn't speak much English - but makes a solid effort in trying. The pizza is very thin, purposely crisp on the bottom with a few burnt spots, a healthy dose of oil. Comes closest to Provençal style pizza. This is a great option for a nite in front of the TV. Had a wonderful evening meal at Chez Steph along with two of our very special friends. Our friends are local to the area and visit the restaurant as often as they can and now we know why. We were all greeted in 'french style' by a young waiter who looked after us for the evening. It was a very busy evening, all tables fully booked, yet the service was second to none and with a huge variety of dishes available. We all had different meals served to perfection, fantastic.We will be going back without a doubt on our next visit to France.
There are a couple of small tables outside Chez Steph, but it is mostly takeaway and is in a commercial zone close to La Flotte. We went there on our final night on Re and were not disappointed. The pizzas are really excellent and there are a lot of topping choices. I went for the tartiflette, which was terrific. Well worth it if you fancy quick and easy tasty takeaway.

This has to be the best pizza on the island. and Steph is great. Our children eat them every year we go and it wouldn't be a holiday without having a 'Chez Step' at least a couple of times.

excellent pizzas that were worth finding owners was very friendly. Check-out for taking in a Monday when other restaurants closed
