Chez Steph - Reserva de mesa

This is primarily a take out pizza place on the main road by the Intermarche in the Croix-Michaud shopping area. There are a few tables out front if you want to eat there, and parking is easy enough for take out. Steph runs the place on his own, is very friendly, and doesn't speak much English - but makes a solid effort in trying. The pizza is very thin, purposely crisp on the bottom with a few burnt spots, a healthy dose of oil. Comes closest to Provençal style pizza. This is a great option for a nite in front of the TV. My rating isn't reflective of how the pizza compares to my favourite restaurants around the world, rather a GREAT choice for take-out pizza, quality ingredients and prepara...

simply great pizza. not huge, I ate one on myself (I eat a lot,) but good price. large selection, all thin crust and tasty. the owner and his wife make all pizzas to order. I would recommend a good order in advance. we have. on Friday at 19 o'clock and the earliest 9 o'clock. but it was worth waiting. it says online that they only speak French. they also speak English so they can only come over, especially when they order personally. it is only cash, but there is a cash machine close to. as always, these are all small details. we eat here for the third time in a 12 days holiday. it is simply amazing, literally perfect pizza.

There are a couple of small tables outside Chez Steph, but it is mostly takeaway and is in a commercial zone close to La Flotte. We went there on our final night on Re and were not disappointed. The pizzas are really excellent and there are a lot of topping choices. I went for the tartiflette, which was terrific. Well worth it if you fancy quick and easy tasty takeaway.

This has to be the best pizza on the island. and Steph is great. Our children eat them every year we go and it wouldn't be a holiday without having a 'Chez Step' at least a couple of times.
