Wonderful food! I eat a lot of Asian food in the Twin Cities and was excited to try this place in Baldwin with my Mom. The Empress pork is best when freshly made because the crispy fried exterior is perfect before it has a chance to absorb the sauce. I delighted in the perfect vegetables and bright colors of this meal. The sweet and sour sauce is very good. It is a homemade sauce with a nice punchy flavor. The fried rice has a nice deeply caramelized flavor to it— something that comes from a perfected sauce recipe. Enjoyed my birthday here in the humble quaint surroundings. Affordable friendly. Yum!
This is the worst food I have had in a long time. After eating there, I experienced cramping and spent too much time in the bathroom. I will never eat there again or recommend it to anyone. This place tarnishes the reputation of Chinese restaurants. I would give it a 1-star rating, but even that would be too generous. Service: Take out, Meal type: Dinner, Price per person: $30-50.
I would have given the atmosphere a five-star rating, but since it was a takeout order, I couldn't fully experience it. The food was outstanding - everything tasted fresh and of high quality. This is definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants I have eaten at in a long time. It was a bit pricey, but that seems to be the norm these days.
I absolutely love this restaurant! It is hands down my favorite Chinese spot. The cream cheese wontons are absolutely amazing, the portion sizes are big and satisfying, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I make it a point to stop here whenever I am in town. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. Although there were some previous issues with food quality, they have since been resolved. I suggest giving them another chance. The service is for take-out during lunch hours, with an average price per person ranging from $10 to $20.
This restaurant is below average. The portions of meat were small and the fried rice was awful. I would not recommend this place at all.
