BAIT SWITCH. I wanted so badly to love this place. But it was really difficult to get past the increase in prices we were charged, compared with what was on the printed menus. The menu does have a disclaimer saying they're free to change the prices at anytime. But 50%? Really? My mom had the Shrimp with lobster sauce. I tasted hers and thought it was delicious . But neither my mom nor my hubby liked the sauce. Menu said $10.99 for the medium size. We were charged $15.99 for the medium size which was fairly small. Fried rice, never steamed rice. We've been ordering from CWE for over two years and have always had a great experience—quick service and delicious food. Five stars for that! We usually opt for the premium fried rice with our entrees for an extra charge. However, the steamed rice has been a disappointment; it's been tough and clumpy. Just yesterday, we placed a $100 order, and the fried rice was even clumpier than usual. Not acceptable. We'll continue to order from this place, but if the fried rice remains clumpy, we may have to reconsider.
Garlic shrimp is a dish that is very difficult to come in Chinese restaurants, but it is served here. They make it so hot and so fresh! The Chow mine has only noodles and not much cabbage as elsewhere, so it's a little different, but it's okay. The dining room is quite tiny here, so pickup orders are very advisable, especially during busy times. I used to have to travel so much further from myself to get my favorite dish, but now that CWE is here in Tustin, can I get it closer home?
We're from Texas we wanted to give this place a try. Food was ok. Ordered beef and broccoli won-ton soup. We don't know how to rate the soup bc we were given a vegetable soup with chicken shrimp but no wontons.

Really good food. Do not use the voucher any problem. It's pretty busy, but that means it's a good place to eat. Order before or simply board. I went in wait it took home was super delicious. Try it.
We love China West are by far favorite Chinese food. We lived in Tustin most of her life and moved to orange and we will still make the drive for the Chinese food. Love that it's so fresh
