I returned to chatswood in february after the COVID criteria had loosened somewhat and were isolated for a considerable time. I had been happy to return on Saturday and was served the most delicious, delicate steak, with mushroom gravy(my choice) mouth water crispy chips, not greasy at all, and served a sufficient salat in a small white dish, supplemented the steak. I have returned for 3 times and the bistro meal are absolutely excellent price-performance ratio. I also ate with friends in shades caffe and the coffee and cake was excellent.
Great value for money and the food isn't too bad. I must say the dining room could do with a face lift. It's looking rather tired and a tad dated. But if you are looking for a good dinner special in chatswood chit chats bistro is the place to be.. I would recommend going on Friday for the Ribs special. 1 rack of ribs, chips, corn cob and a jacket potato a beer. All this for 15 Aussie dollars! Enjoy!
my friend had frittata and sweet salad and I had wild mushroom quiche and salat. I wish I had frittata as a chef on quiche was soggy not crisp. must have been heated in microwave. salat was excellent a good help and a lot of colored vegetables. service. was good and we didn't wait long. all the staff were friendly. we had coffee and they were okay.
most pubs serve better than this rsl. this place is in a timewarp. eating is the basic opposite of the sixties. Bar employees fight to serve a mixed drink. I had to ask for a special ice and a disc lemon in my gin and tonic. such a scandal because of its favourable situation. they could be so much better.

without doubt the worse bistro/resources we have ever experienced. I ordered the roast lamb that was served cold, and the meat was fat and old. it was probably mutton. my partner ordered the thai vege curry, which was also served cold and without rice. Service...was slow and overall an abysmal evening.
We decided to try this place for a dinner. We joined up, as when we return we can use it again, with discounts. We went inoto the Bistro, and the food we chose was acceptable, without being fantastic.
Whilst you’re not going to get any amazing ambiance the food was actually really good. I got the seafood basket and it was really nice, flavorsome, at the whole thing
Unbeatable value. The specials are great value particularly the steaks. Meal comes with a drink and the premise clean and casual.
