This place nestled away on the beach at Cape Trib could be something special. Ideal location on the beach with water front views.Good:Location, seating and views to the beachBad:The Prices - everything is inflated, but you do kind of expect that in remote tourist locations. Burgers were over priced, chips were over priced, coffee way over priced. Tomato sauce costs 20c per serve.Ugly:The food is TERRIBLE. After ordering a beef burger and paying extra for chips, a promising looking burger arrived after about 20 minutes. The location is truly unique and special, being located RIGHT off the beach in the Daintree. They have outdoor seating which directly looks at the beach. The food itself was simple, filling and tasty. I had their vegetarian burger option. It was really nice considering some cafes don't make a very good vegetarian burger! We also ordered a bowl of chips. They gave us a generous size of chips with sour cream and chilli. The only down side was that the sour cream and chilli tasted a little unusual to us. Putting that aside, we loved our burgers and enjoyed taking in the view.

Stopped and had lunch Oh what a MISTAKE that was Ordered the seafood plate Frozen food in thick breading permeated this awful entree /main course Over cooked and we got a BONUS fake crab stick also deep fried And the ice tea was like water with food coloring A shame of a cafe Glad it's too far to ever come back Fellow Tourists - be very warned !!!

Great service, great breakfast the staff was very friendly and helpful our family of 5 stayed 2 nights right across the street at the 3 bedroom Daintree Rainforest Beach House. It had everything we needed very cozy and comfortable, with amazing views, we spent 2 weeks driving up the coast and this was one of our best memories! Reserva una mesa ahora

Nestled in gorgeous Thornton Beach by the seaWhat a magic experience ! We stayed opposite in the Bungalows , fell across the street into the dream bar cafe . CJ the owner was there cooking his famous fish and chips and great salad , What a treat personal great service Totally recommend a highlight of our trip

Located within a 100 metres of Thornton Beach - outdoor eating area, spacious.We had lunch here consisting of fish and chips and toasted sandwiches.The food was just okay as was the service.Based on this experience, I would, in future, find an alternative for lunch.

We had a bite to eat at CJs on our drive back to Cairns and we are so glad we stopped! The view was absolutely awesome and the food was relatively quick and tasty! My burger was huge and my husband thought his seafood basket was delicious.

We had a quick lunch. Pretty busy but they coped. Pie was nice. Sitting on the deck overlooking the sea was fun
