Korean Fried Chicken, how can you possibly go wrong? Well, you won't go wrong at Choongman. As a person who has tried KFC everywhere including actually in Korea, this is the best you will find in Chicago area. They are more on the saucy side while Bonchon might be dry sauced but this is more true to original KFC. Chicken is served with pickled radishes and side of carrots, celery, and Ranch. Come, order, sit down and enjoy with some Korea beer for true Chi-Mek (chicken and beer) experience.

It's a cozy little restaurant with decent decor, but the food is absolutely amazing. The chicken is cooked perfectly, and the flavors are spot on. The pickled radishes served when you first arrive are delightful. This spot is one of my wife's and my favorites. As for accessibility, there are two designated parking spaces for those with disabilities. We dined in for lunch and had a great experience.

Additionally, while the bulgogi fried rice was flavorful, the portion was ridiculously small – probably only around 10 ounces with just a few bits of meat. It's not really about the extra $6 charge that annoys me; it's more about the lack of integrity in how they handled the situation. Moving forward, I think I'll stick to the Vernon Hills location.

The staff was extremely rude, and the chicken was undercooked. For dinner, the experience was disappointing. I spent around $20–30 per person. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve a rating of 1 out of 5. Once again, the food and beer were fantastic! I love stopping by on Sundays; it’s never too crowded, and the beer is always ice-cold. The chicken is consistently delicious and absolutely mouth-watering. Looking forward to next week!

Crispy chicken, friendly staff, and speedy service! I really enjoyed the snow onion wings, although they are a bit expensive. I'll definitely come back on payday, haha!
