Hosted a recent business dinner and it was great food. A few things to be aware of, the servers are superb but have too many tables for this level of restaurant. At one point it was 30 min between drink checks and all of us were empty. Another time we had to flag down the waiter. This was much better as the night we on and the place thinned out. 2nd, the $192 6oz Japanese Wagyu (as an appetizer) was over salted and frankly not as good as the in-house filet. Lastly, our bottles of wine were $100 more than market prices for same year. Keep it simple and you'll be thrilled, but don't bother with the splurge items in my opinion.

Food: The steak was subpar. It was not nearly seasoned enough nor was it cooked to the requested level. The mashed potatoes were watery and the broccoli was unseasoned. My wife did throughly enjoy the scallops and the dessert was pretty good. Service: We sat outside which based on the service was a mistake. Our drinks arrived 20 minutes after we ordered them, and it took upwards of 30 minutes to get the check. Atmosphere: It’s a nice looking and clean place.

We were seated at a table where the sun glared into my wife’s eyes. When we mentioned it to the management, no accommodation was provided. We should have left. It was a special night in that we were celebrating our 23rd anniversary. I didn’t want to spoil the night, so I swapped places with my wife and made the best of it.

I wished I could give less than a one. I had bugs crawling on my steak. They basically said deal with it. If you go to this restaurant make sure you check your food thoroughly before eating. They will not compensate you for a bad meal. When you see bugs leave immediately.

Date night at Cowboy star. Everyone is so friendly, and efficient at what they do. We had a corn soup for an Appetizer, my wife had the halibut and I had the Aged Ribeye. Food was excellent, service was excellent. Another great night at Cowboy Star!

I'm very disappointed. Everything but the steak was good. Upcharged Applebee's basically on the steak.
