Creperie du Grand Carroi

This creperie is tucked away in one of the small street leading down to the river from the principal street of the medieval city. Creperies are great places to eat in France especially for a fairly quick and enjoyable meal. There is the usual menu which includes savoury and sweet pancakes and ice creams. Good house wines - red and rose only. The savoury pancakes are named after historical characters; being English I couldn't face a Phillipe-Augustus but an Agnes Sorrel, tasty in more ways than one, proved excellent. A warm welcome, however a catastrophic organization with a waiting of nearly 40 minutes to have 2 galettes, the customers left one after the other before even the dessert crêpe, just like us. And for my part the galette is very disappointing (soft and thick paste)

Super Omelette, nice service, good ice cream! On the other hand, you have to go back to form, too thick and too little salt for the cake in itself, it lacks salted butter!

Most important! The cakes are delicious!! And carefully prepared. Most! A very good atmosphere of service, communicating and funny I had a very good time!
