I was so impressed that I requested from my fiancee that she host a birthday celebration for me at Cuban Pete's. I've never owned a restaurant, however, I have worked in several retail establishments and I am aware that there is such a thing as A hole customers and nice customers. I never had Cuban food before; my coworkers chose this restaurant and I was not dissappointed. I have the chicken and sweet potatoes (which I substituted with plaintains, because I do not like sweet potatoes). It was fabulous and the rice was cooked in coconut (I think) and it was so different from any rice I ever had, but it was a very good contrast to the black beans and plaintains. The atmosphere and upbeat and fun. The wait staff was very nice and helpful, even though we kept getting them mixed up. The only issue I had was that it was a little cramped; there should have been more elbow room. Overall great experience!
Hi, I went to Cuban Petes with friends, My first experience was good so I decided to return. It was a Friday night and the placed was packed I walked to the counter to give my name to the Hostess whom just stared at me like I was a Martian. They need to hire people that can deal with crowds. I left after Hostess told me an hour wait but I was standing in packed hallway for over an hour and a half and she lost my name in her book. So good food but they definetly need a better staff and a bigger establishment
My review is fair and realistic. I am not a kid and I am very serious about my dining experience. About a week ago, I might have given them 4 stars, because the food is pretty good and the service is ok. A little noisy for my taste, but fine, I am not a old man who can't stand some loud music, but here is the problem.
