Sevenof us went for Mother's Day. Table booked for 2PM place didn't seem particularly busy. After waiting 1 hour with no food appearing and no explanation for the delay asked staff member what the problem was they informed they had been busy and were a staff member down. We were advised food would be with us shortly. Twenty minutes later we once again asked how long food was going to be and were informed there were two other tables to be served before us then we would receive our food. We did point out that both these tables arrived some time after us so we could not understand why they were to receive their food before us?!? This was now 1hr 20 mins after our booking time and was unacceptab...
Came here with my family for a Mothers Day meal, with high expectations, after seeing good reviews. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!! Service was Terrible! Upon arrival (we had a table booked for 3pm) we were told to order drinks at the bar, as the table needed to be cleaned and would be ready in a few minutes. We ordered our drinks (rude bar staff) and got taken to our table around 3:10. We then ordered our food pretty quickly after. It then took around 50 minutes for the starters to be brought out to us. And then waited a further 30 minutes from our starters being taken away until we received our mains. The food was as terrible as the service! Took a party of 10 for a birthday dinner,Sunday, table booked for 5,30. Orders taken at 6,05 firstly no Steam and pie left so most ordered Xmas dinner, then told no live in blankets left, choice of 3 meats, turkey, beef or gammon, £3 extra if you want 2 meats . Veg was , sprouts, mash, buttered carrots, roast parsnip, green beans. Meals arrived after 35 minutes, on my plate was : 1 sprout, 1 piece of parsnip, 3 slices of carrot , 2 small roasties rock hard 1 n half slices of Turkey n same for beef. Whilst the food was cooked on the portions were pathetic. They then had the cheap to add 20% service charge. Will not be going back and will not recommend.
My first experience at this restaurant was not great. It took 10 minutes to place our drink and food order, and some of the food arrived cold. When we requested for it to be reheated, it was simply put in the microwave. Additionally, we were not asked if we wanted more drinks even though we had run out. Despite the fact that the servers did not seem busy, they were seen standing around near the restaurant till.

Called in for a snack. Told they don’t serve sandwiches on a Sunday. Ordered a rustic pizza and chips. We left half the pizza it was very doughy and topping watery. We told the waitress who came back for plates, she said she would pass information on to kitchen. No one came back. We also told the lady we paid, who didn’t apologise just took our money. Very disappointed. Would definitely not recommend to anyone.
What a lovely pub, very welcoming and the Sunday dinners are scrumptious! The staff are very attentive and super friendly. The pub is dog friendly so you always have a little pooch around too! Couldn’t recommend enough, we have visited numerous times and always had a fab experience.
astonishing pub. came here when we didn't come in another pub with children and a dog on the same party. nice eating, had not much on the menu we wanted, but still good eating when it came. eis for the child in the party
Nice ambiance incl log fire. Friendly waitress. Food awful. Especially the 3 covers cauliflower curry, which had to be sent back because food too cold. Even then the cauliflower was dry, hard and tasteless.

This pub is very welcoming. It is clean with a pleasant ambiance. The drinks are reasonably priced and the flavored tonics are delightful! I would definitely recommend it.
Had a lovely family lunch here today. Our waitress, Paige was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend dining here and we will return.
