We entered for lunch on a rainy and gray day and felt.the warmth of the ambience right away. The eclectic collection of morabilia from eras past range from calendars from the 1930s and perhaps even earlier, books, glassware, teacups and silver services. We had a seafood chowder and a sandwich and both were delicious. I have some food allergies and they were able.to cheerfully offer options. What a delightful way to spend time. Service was excellent.
This cafe is full of warmth & country charm. It is the perfect cafe to visit in the historic town of Richmond. The food is amazing and the atmosphere & service is great. It can get quite busy here sometimes as you would expect when such good food is on the menu so if you find yourself here on one of those busy days you can pass the time by finding the small wooden mice figurines hidden throughout the cafe. Lots of fun for both adults & children.
We (4 girlfriends) caught an Uber from Hobart to Richmond for a look around (cost $40). The uber driver gave us his number, as there were no local drivers in Richmond. He was kind enough to return later on and take us back to Hobart.Richmond is delightful to stroll around for a few hours. We had brunch at is cafe and enjoyed it a lot. More a traditional, old fashioned cuisine, than modern, but nicely prepared.

Popped in for a late lunch...found a nice table by the window...the open fire was very enjoyable seeing as it was cool n cloudy outside..ordered the croque MONSUIER which was tasty n satisfying..but the spring rolls were disappointing...the plum sauce was drizzed over the top was way too sweet..the long black coffee was very nice..
Decided to get in and out of the rain. So glad we did. We both had the pirk bun. Absolutely beautiful. The sweet potato chips were the best. Very unexpected. Tasmanian food seems to be leaving the mainland for dead. 5 stars. Lovely staff.
We paused for a bite and a drink here while in Richmond Tasmania, and what a pleasant surprise. Great coffee in a super setting. Really helpful service and licensed too. Good choice of venue for lunch etc. but we had cake and coffee/wine
Lots of cafes do not have rooibos tea however i take my own rooibos and they percolate the almond milk and i add the rooibos . A great drink ! now that is service Reserva una mesa ahora
A little gem for Breakfast. Great service and friendly staff. Good coffee and great breakfast. What else could anyone ask for. I would definitely drop in again.
