Stayed in Newcastle on a Sunday on our way to Edinburgh and didn't realize how late it was when we arrived. We were starving and desperately trying to find decent food at 10pm and were recommended Dabbawal. They let us order even though the kitchen closed in 7 minutes. We got the chef's choice and cocktails and everything was amazing. Probably the best Indian food I've ever had. Great value for the prices. The manager and staff were incredibly kind, even though we arrived 30 minutes before they closed. 10/10, thank you for taking great care of us.
the service here was excellent! they managed to fit us as a walk in the restaurant week, although the place was fully booked. we tried the surprise of the cook and everyone enjoyed to taste many different dishes. the starter was perfectly cooked, the meat melted in the mouth, even the lamb that is often chew. it was also really good value for money, we were surprised at the bill when we came to pay. absolutely loved, we will return!
you are asking for good Indian food is equal to end: the place is one of the best places in newcastle for Bombay style eating them do really good eating and everything from the drinks to the starters to the main course is great. dabbawal is a must to visit restaurant youngs. love her vada pav and samosa chat must try.
Excellent food and service. Will be back and can't recommend enough. Prefer it to the one in Jesmond, only because of location. Usually stick to vegetarian dishes as I don't trust the quality of meat when I eat out but tried my friends chicken starter and I'd definitely have it for myself.

If you're looking for authentic Indian food in Great Britain, look no further! I visited this restaurant twice in one week, and it really has that soulfully prepared feel to it. The portion sizes could be a bit larger, but overall I had a great experience with excellent staff.
After discovering the secret to success at Dabbawal, I believe it lies in their delicious curries rather than their street food. However, my enthusiasm started to wane as I continued dining there.
This restaurant is amazing and definitely worth trying! Dabbawal serves delicious Indian street food in a tapas style, which I always enjoy because you get to taste a variety of dishes.

absolutely amazing place for street food. eating was sharp, the personal polite very good atmosphere. would be highly recommended for a nice meal.
Ordered a takeaway box once they ran a pop-up store at Fenwick. Tasty and not too spicy.
