Dairy Queen Grill Chill

We visited this restaurant last night after a long time, and I must say, I wish it was closer to us because our experience was amazing! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and appreciated. The man who took our order was exceptionally kind and patient with us, which was greatly appreciated, especially when dining with an autistic child. The food we had was delicious and much better than other nearby locations. Despite a long line at the drive-thru, we were served quickly, and the ice cream we ordered was cold and perfect. We usually enjoy getting ice cream and malts from Dairy Queen. However, yesterday my husband ordered a malt and it just didn't taste right. It had a bad aftertaste. We're wondering if the recipe has changed or if they are using malt liquid instead of malt powder?
