It reminds me of old, classy Hollywood with the overstuffed booths, dim lighting, piano bar and ambience. There is tableside preparation for their signature Caesar Salad and the flambe desserts, that you rarely see anymore, such as Bananas Foster and Cherries Jubiless. Without a doubt one of the finer restaurants in the Los Angeles area. Dal Rae has maintained high quality food exceptional service for the past 6 decades that I have personally observed. However some of the unique qualities have fallen by the wayside. They no longer do the wilted spinach salad at table side. The unique service was provided by the owner and the tradition was carried on by his sons. This along with the elimination of the relish tray made them stand out from the crowded restaurant scene. The Filet, Prime Rib, Chilean Sea Bass and the Thomohawk Rib Eye were exceptional!! The big Caesar Salad was delicious and prepared at our table side. I will definitely go back!! Oh I forgot the Crème Brûlée, Butter Cake and Bread Pudding topped off our delicious meal. They also include a vegetable, baked potato or rice and bread with your meal.
My friend and I celebrate our birthdays here as a tradition and it is about 1/2 between our houses. We love having a drink at the bar, splitting a Caesar salad and then we usually have the fish alla Ben depending on what is in season. Last night was the Chilean Sea Bass and it was fantastic! We were seated immediately. The service was excellent, I had the double cut pork chop that was cooked Just the way i like it, the Chilean sea bass was excellent as usual, the steaks were cooked to perfection and the drinks hit the spot. Never ever had a bad meal here. The best steak house in Pico Rivera and the surrounding areas!!
The Dal Rae restaurant was wonderful! The food was delicious, our server Jackie was amazing, and the history lesson of the restaurant by Gabriel was fascinating! We really enjoyed the live music in their cocktail lounge as well. We will definitely be going back!
Excellent food and service! Center cut filet was perfectly cooked and enjoyed the baked potato and asparagus. Soufflé for dessert was amazing. Loved my cosmo martinis as well. Great night, great food and wonderful waitress!
Always a treat to dine at the Dal. Truly some of the best meat in town. Certainly one of the best bone in veal chops around. Service was wonderful. Drinks weren’t as good as usual but that happens
