We had a family meal with 6 of us at this restaurant. Ebony provided us with excellent service, she was very polite, had a smile on her face, and even engaged with my two young granddaughters who loved her. The food was delicious, arrived hot, and was extremely tasty. However, while we were at the bar ordering drinks, another staff member, a young woman with ginger hair, announced she was going outside for a smoke. Another staff member, a young man, appeared to be lazy and was scowling at people. Thankfully, Ebony was there to save the day.
We were pleased to find a good selection of Hyde's cask ales at this restaurant. We sought shelter here from a thunderstorm, but unfortunately, the roof was leaking. The restaurant was crowded, likely because Manchester United was playing on TV. The atmosphere was a bit subdued, as Arsenal had won at Old Trafford.
First time visiting as seen the new menu on social media. Lovely clean pub aswell as staff made us feel welcome. We decided to have the meatballs for starters and the seabass noodles which were amazing compliments to the chef. Definitely be back to try some new dishes
The food is unexpectedly tasty and we all enjoy the ambiance! The staff is welcoming and provides excellent service. We will definitely return. It's unfortunate that England didn't win the match today, what a disappointment...

Absolutely terrible meal veg not cooked and chicken was rubbery , thought we’d give this place a try,first and last time we’ll go to the old plough.
Have been coming here on and off for over thirty years. The atmosphere is really good and the beer better. Still got that friendly vibe.
Cracking pub in Ashely, good price points for the food and pints, pub garden, lots of space inside and dog friendly.
