Oh Dave, you cheeky little rascal.. Good food is a combination of multiple things, great service, good taste, right price point etc. and Dave's Hot Chicken met the criteria. I ordered No. 2 from the menu in Hot and it met my expectations, worth every penny. Extra ketchup, honey, special sauce will be provided to you graciously. The only challenge I found at this location is that there is not enough seating for dine-in customers. Therefore, tourists, please be aware. In winter, if your hotel is far, the food will get cold. The Extra Hot slider is extremely spicy and absolutely delicious! The sliders are quite big—more like sandwiches—which makes the price reasonable. I haven’t tried the Reaper, but the Extra Hot was plenty spicy for me. The Cheese Fries were tasty, though a bit soggy when delivered, which is understandable. However, I wouldn’t order the Mac and Cheese again; it tasted too much like a kid’s meal.
The food was decent, but I was let down by the spice level labeled as Medium; it actually tasted more like Mild. The pickles were limp, and the bun was also soggy, which I assume is due to the delivery from uptown to 8th Street. This is probably also why the fries weren't crispy. I found that dining in the restaurant offered a much better experience for me.
I ordered the mild lite, but I accidentally got one of the extremely hot ones! My mouth has been burning for hours. There definitely seems to be a mix-up with their spice levels. Too bad, because the food is really delicious—I won’t be risking it again!

The food doesn’t match the pictures at all. It’s a messy, overly salty dish. I’ve had Nashville hot chicken many times, and this is a disappointing imitation.
The chicken was overcooked, and there was no sauce for the sliders. It felt like a waste of money.
