I’m a huge fan of Daytrip Counter! We visited with our family for an early, relaxed dinner, and the experience went beyond what we expected. Although it’s primarily known for rotisserie chicken, the menu is much more creative, carefully crafted, and absolutely delicious. The food quality is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. I’m thrilled Daytrip is still a part of the Oakland scene—we’ll definitely be returning! Exceptional service—both professional and warm. The Mediterranean salad with roast chicken and sheep’s milk cheese combined with kale offers a fantastic and unique flavor mix that’s absolutely delicious. Portions are generous, with options for indoor and street-side seating. The vibrant, playful decor adds to the experience. I'm thrilled to see Daytrip Counter return with this new setup. The food and wine are both delicious and reasonably priced. Although the menu is limited, the portions are generous and everything was perfect. The bar seating could be improved visually—it currently faces the dishwasher—but it’s a minor issue.
