Finally. FINALLY!!! I found good pho in Missouri. This is comparable of other places I've had pho including Denver, Houston, and Chicago. After my doctor's appt nearby, I decided to see what was close and DD Mau was a couple mins away. I ordered rare beef pho and crab rangoon. Crab rangoon did not disappoint and satisfied my craving.The pho was perfect. Had all the fixings including cilantro, Thai basil, lime, hoison, and sriracha. I never have enough citrus so I took it upon myself to add more when I got home to make it just perfect. It was warm and comforting and just what I needed. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the base broth was great. The beef was tender, even after I cooked it...
Great pho fast. Never got past the soup to try other dishes. Egg rolls are great too, had a few varieties of those. Staff is mostly friendly and polite. Couple of eye rolls when I asked a question that I apparently should have known the answer to automatically, but I would chalk that up to how my generation raised the next one and how they then raised theirs. They don’t come to your table much since it is counter service so that is a minor annoyance that did not take away from the great meals I have had there.
Everything on the menu is delicious. However, for me, some unexpected highlights... I 'm not really into chicken wings, but Wow! These are terrific. Get the wings. And the spicy lemon grass soup, don 't let the 'vegan ' description scare you away, it 's wonderful. My usual is the vermicelli bowl, always a winner, but every time I venture out and try something new to me, I am always impressed. Well done DD!
