We were recommended this restaurant as being from London we love Indian food! The location is just off the main road and seems a world away from the Kings Cross strip. The restaurant is in an attractive location and has a very homely atmosphere, appearing to be converted from a historical house and still retaining original features such as the fireplaces. We sat on the front courtyard which was far enough from the road to be relaxing but still interesting overlooking the attractive houses and for people watching.We ordered the Macher Jhol fish curry and the tandoori paneer, both of which were very good and spiced up according to husband' taste. So impressed with the outstanding Indian food we ate here. My husband and I wanted to try a new curry house and we weren't disappointed. The service was excellent, the food was authentic and delicious. The staff couldn't have been more helpful when recommending a dish for us to try. The curry was super fresh and flavoursome. Highly recommend the Eggplant curry if you want a spicy curry with plenty of flavour. We will be returning to this curry house and bringing our friends next time to try what we think is the BEST Indian restaurant in Sydney.
Ordered through Uber Eats. Got the Saag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala, Malai Kofta, 3 naans and Ras Malai. Good quantity. The Saag Paneer was good, quality ingredients - that goes for all dishes. Chicken Tikka, not as authentic, it tasted good but wasn't proper Tikka Masala - trust me. Malai Kofta was by far the best dish. Asked to make Indian spicy and they did so good service there. The Ras Malai was decent too. Pretty good for takeaway! Total $72.90 - weekend pigout sesh.
A real little gem hidden in a side street. Very attractive main room beautifully decorated in a modern Indian style. Small delightful terrace in the front which is very romantic. Very pleasant service. All the dishes we had were very tasty, well prepared using good produce. The spices were present and not overpowered with the excessive heat that some Indian restaurants feel obliged to produce. It was a great experience and we will return.

Delhi by the way is a fantastic venue with very welcoming and accommodating staff. I enjoyed the meal but didn’t madly love it. The samosas, the lamb saag, the desserts and the little Indian version of an after-dinner mint, candy coated fennel seeds, were the winning dishes for me. When I return Malibu prawns are all mine. Everytime I dine at Delhi by the Way I am further more impressed. The service here is attentive and genuine. The food is DELICIOUS. So tasty and full of flavour. The prices are reasonable for what you get. This restaurant is by far above any Indian food I have tried in Sydney. Would highly recommend!
Repeat order meal and this is what was delivered...late!!! Look at the size of the rice compared to the dish. The owner said to call back in two minutes but now is not answering the phone!!! Absolutely crazy...we are not paying for the repeat order and will complain to menu log.
We decided to have food from here by ordering in but found the food to be pretty bad.. tandoori rotis were tasteless , chicken tikka was uncooked and paneer dish was pretty average.. let down- would avoid food from here!

Delicious piping hot food and a pleasantly warm and relaxed ambience ! Its perfect to celebrate occasions which is what we did the last time around. Thank you guys for making our day!
This place is hidden from the main strip of Kings Cross. Great Indian Cuisine with authentic taste. It is never crowded. Great value, great tasting Indian in Kings Cross.
