I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures ?. I started going here about 18 years ago when a coworker brought me a sandwich from here, although it's been about 2 years since I was last here, I can truly say that my first bite made me close my eyes and hum a little tune til I took my next bite... It was just as I remembered the bread was so fresh and soft, I remember as a kid going to the corner store and getting a pickle out of the barrel I was surprised to see that. I just had to get a pickle. I was taken back at the prices of the sandwiches ?but everything is expensive now... Anyway it was well worth and I'll be going back again soon ??Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian optionsP...
This used to be the best deli in Kearny about 15 years ago it's a shame everything there is either overpriced or expired sandwiches aren't what they used to be especially now with cheap quality meat. Dietz and Watson. I bought a can of vegetables when I got home I noticed they were expired a year ago when I went back to return them they gave me my money back after I spoke to the owner the main woman in the morning was coughing into her hands and never went to watch them even though she handles food in money the owner talk to me like he was some fake soprano mobster the funny thing is the vegetables were back on the Shelf a few days later save your money and go to a better place

In a world filled with franchises, I love that the mom and pop place of my youth is still here! They have just about anything you could need, and a large variety of everything else. They still have slush puppies and soft serve ice cream!The downside, their once amazing sandwiches (that i drove out of state to get) are now just barely ok.... ?

Best Hero Sandwich in the state. Pricey but the sandwich can't be beat. I have lived 3 blocks from here for 50 years and this place was here probably 30 so they must be doing something correct.
The small chips and pretzel selection is awesome. I couldn't believe they had a small bag of pretzel rings which are hard to find. It's a nice place was happy to see it's better than ever.
they make the worst sub sandwiches .. you are paying for bread !! i ordered a tuna and there was literally no tuna on the bread.. it was all bread!! terrible deli.. avoid at all cost !!
