I gave this place 1 star for a few reasons: when I arrived, nobody came out to greet me. I thought maybe I had made a mistake, so I went back to my car and returned a few minutes later. First time I tried this place was during COVID lockdown when everything was just to-go, and this spot gave me relief from my dessert cravings! The filling is never too sweet, it's always just right. The donut itself is also soft and chewy so I've always loved coming to this place. Came back recently and the donuts/malasadas had a different texture and definitely looked fuller. Still great tho! After visiting the Dot Dough location in Covina, we decided to check out their MP location. It features charming outdoor seating and an impressive variety of delicious flavors to choose from. The milk and cereal and the chocolate with chocolate cereal donuts were served warm and incredibly tasty. The sugar and cinnamon sugar masala donuts were also warm and delightful. Was visiting my niece and her family in Alhambra and was craving some malasadas and since this shop was close by, we gave it a try! I've not found a place yet that compares to Leonard's in Waikiki, but this place is delicious! My kids loved them. Super fresh! Made to order. We got a half dozen of the cinnamon sugar and the classic sugar! What I love love is the crunch on the outside and the pillowy goodness on the inside! Super cool staff as well! I have been trying to come here and I wanted to try their mochinut and didn't know they served malasada. I ordered the taro and ube malasada and it's so good but I like the ube better! If you haven't had malasada before, they are better to eat hot and warm so right when you get them eat it it's just a suggestion. I thought their malasada is better than what I had in Hawaii just my opinion. This will be my regular stop when I'm in the area!
Finally got to try the bolo mochi bun! I tried the malasadas before and those were great! For the bolo mochi buns, I didn't feel it was worth it. It didn't taste like bolo baos and didn't have that texture I was looking for. As for the mochi portion, definitely was good.I would recommend the malasadas for sure! I was craving malasadas from Hawaii so we decided to see if anyone sold some. We found this place. I was bummed that they didn't have the filled malasadas so we got the plain ones which were delicious. Also got some donuts for the kids. The loved the fruity pebbles. It a self kiosk so you get to order it yourself. The staff is there to help if you have any questions. I will have to go back to try the filled malasadas.

The donuts are amazing—definitely give them a try! My matcha drink with soy milk had a pleasant bitterness that I personally enjoyed, but it was quite chalky.
