Dot 's Diner On The Mountain Is Dead And Gone

My partner and I walked in. There were two other tables and one waitress who was chatting with one of the other tables. We waited a long time without even being greeted. Then someone came in after us and the waitress ignored us and greeted him, got him drinks, and took his order all while we were still waiting just to be greeted. That's the point when we decided to leave. We also overheard her calling an employee and asking them to get the cheapest available bacon because they were all out. I suspect the quality of the food is not great based on that indication. Note: This is from a visit before they closed, but thanks for your gracious response, business owner. We will certainly not try the new ownership, thank you.

Nice little mountain cafe. Pretty busy but you can always find a place to sit. The waitresses are attentive, full of fun and boisterous. Great place to have some breakfast or lunch and feel like a local. And they have a little about six-seater bar where you can sit and schmooze with the waitresses and bartender while having a nice draught.

Good service, good food. I recommend the buttermilk biscuit with butter and jam. Skip the country gravy.

Basic breakfast food and a couple of lunch items. Grilled cheese and omelette took 40 mins. Homey.
