the fashion of the chefs who put their name on the map of an annex made me a little grasp of the result.But between the memory of a great dinner at the balzac and the mouth in the ear we still took the risk of celebrating a birthday. And the smiling chance undoubtedly to the bold... bingo !the duende is an absolute success. Added to the well-known charm of the imperator, the room is a modern chic completely in phase with the kitchen. the service menu that we had chosen is really remarkable with each dish blends of flavors all more successful than each other. And then there's this bluffing finding that is the great gagnean stone dessert that comes to close the meal. with desserts not to choos...
This Michelin 2 star offers outstanding cuisine, a fabulous wine list, and attentive, professional and friendly service. The Pierre Gagnaire menu of 6 courses was simply brilliant the lamb infused with cumin/Middle Eastern flavors was the stand out, but all the courses were great and there were no duds. Razor clams and seafood course was the ocean on a plate, salmon course phenomenal, sweetbreads with shrimp awe inspiring. The signature 6 course dessert ! pretty much the best dessert service we've had. Anywhere. Anytime. It's a blow out, but an experience that will last a lifetime. We will be back!
When we had lunch on March 19, we were unanimous in saying that this restaurant deserved more than a star, so it was excellent.... and hop on March 22 the michelin guide awarded a second star to the duende. very well located in the enclosure of the very class imperator hotel, the duende is equipped with a very nice dining room very intimate and very super service pro, elegant to contemporary) and sommelier above the lot as is the wine map. Congratulations to the whole team, you are the worthy representatives of the famous French cuisine, which tends to be rare!.
We stayed at the Hotel and so we got a table at Duende… this is how you can stop the story but the experience was mind blowing even after being through ADMO pop up in Paris (snob snob snob). The dishes were inventive, tasting and in the right amounts and the wine pairing was superb. So good awesome, wine awesome and then a so nice and welcoming crew that made ultra cuisine fun again. Vegan menu for the wife spectacular ! Playful with going through all variations of taste bud happiness. And the total was way below what I expected. We love you guys !!!

Under the wing of Pierre Gagnaire, Nicolas Fontaine has already won a michelin star and his brilliant use of local flavors suggests he might be headed for another. The two tasting menus are superb though the grand dessert may be a little overwhelming after the longer of the two options. The sommelier has put together an extensive list of local and regional wines at very acceptable prices and his suggestions were excellent on all three occasions we have eaten here.
this restaurant brings you a very intense gastronomic happiness. the staff, quite young is very professional, effective with the humor necessary to not take seriously but do everything as seriously as possible. cooking is studied, careful, very creative, respecting the products. 2 stars at the door of the third. map of wines very well studied to not make madness but beautiful discoveries.
Repas succulent et parfait que ce soit dans la préparation des mets et des boissons, des mises en bouches jusqu’aux mignardises en passant par le fromage. Le service était tout autant impeccable qu’irréprochable.
