Tonight, on the 9th September, let's go to Ahlbeck for dinner. We chose the Baltic Sea Hotel Ahlbeck, just one kilometre from our apartment. The Baltic Sea Hotel Ahlbeck is part of the Seetelhotel Group. Whether Ahlbecker Hof, Hotel Esplanade or Pommerscher Hof, all these first-class hotels and a few more under the umbrella “Seetelhotels”, a family business. The Baltic Sea Hotel Ahlbeck is located in Ahlbeck directly on the promenade. Baltic Sea Hotel Ahlbeck Like most hotels by the sea, it is a magnificent white three-seat building. The interior is similar to the Pomeranian court where we were also guests: dark brown wood paneling of the walls, white ceiling, dark brown chairs with striped covers, white tables, dark patterned carpets. There are still some tables free when we enter and are very kindly greeted by a young lady. We find at a table in the back of the restaurant on a higher podium. We like the ambience, it's here. We give four stars. The young lady will give us the menus immediately. She talks with accent, we tap a pole. She serves us in the evening and gives herself very professional. She will be informed about what the kitchen prepares, as it is for questions about the dishes. Their courtesy and kindness are exemplary. Impressed us how to deal with complaints. When my wife complains about meat preparation in her yard, the young lady immediately offers a new dish. If my wife refuses to be late, the young lady leaves a free choice for a dessert after eating my wife. This hospitable behavior must be rewarded. We give the young lady five stars for service. Also in the menu we see the relationship with Seetelhotel Group. As in Pommerschen Hof, German cuisine dominates here with partly regional, pomeranian effect. Prices are reasonable. My wife chooses from the menu and I order as an appetizer and as a main dish As accompaniment we choose and a • Stralsunder Mineral Water (0.25 l for 2,60 €. We taste the promised Grauburgunder, which the young lady serves us little later. It tastes good. After a reasonable time, the servant of the fish soup serves me. However, it is too long roasted, the meat is dry and hard. The first time the young lady asks if everything is right, my wife complains about the bad meat. “ Should I bring a new plate?” the serviceman asks after she regrets the quality of the meat. However, my wife wants to avoid and negate a new, possibly longer waiting period. that she regrets later. She works on dry meat. The pansy is well prepared. Tomatoes, zucchini and onions are cut into mini cubes and lie next to and below the meat. The Dijon mustard covers the meat slices and is creamy from consistency. The Dauphin potatoes are obviously self-made and taste good to my wife. Ochsenbäckchen swore in red wine jus, relocated with glaciery carrots, perennial and mullless, with bacon dumplings completely different my oxenbäckchen. I have four slices of meat on the plate, the flesh is happy and broken on the tongue. The sauce cannot hide that her red wine has been added. It has an excellent aromatic taste and is Ally. The falling vegetables of carrots, several-year-old cellars and shallots are crisp and tasty. The two dumplings seem to have been made from raw potatoes. Speck pieces were scattered over them. When the dishes are removed, the young lady again regrets the lower quality of the meat and offers my wife free choice at the dessert from the evening buffet of the house guests. This reconciles something, and my wife wants to intervene while I order a buckthorn spirit (0.02 l for €2.50). The repair offer does not change that. It evaluates the service, but not the kitchen performance. Against this background, we evaluate food and drinks with three and a half stars. In the end, my candy still order an espresso, espresso that will not appear later on the bill, and we will enjoy a whirlpool spirit. We pay by credit card and give the young lady a tip that corresponds to their good service. We evaluate cleanliness with four and a half stars, because both the toilets of the ladies and gentlemen were super well maintained. So well maintained and clean as the guest room, the tables and the buildings. The price/performance ratio deserves smooth four stars. The service has compensated for the small inadequacies in the kitchen performance, so that a good evaluation is appropriate here. The overall assessment naturally reflects dry and hard meat due to the influential individual evaluation of food and beverages. But our general verdict is good, because the service has made some bets. We recommend the restaurant at Baltic Sea Hotel Ahlbeck and would return here without hesitation. Good four stars as a conclusion seem appropriate to us.
