You'll probably want to stick to the specials. This is a popular place but unusually expensive. Staff offers friendly service but you'll likely be in for a bit of sticker shock considering this is a deli. The food is yummy, no doubt. Still, I was in disbelief when when my daughter's half grill cheese on white bread and 1 cup of tomato soup with a regular fountain drink was almost $17! What?? I couldn't believe what the register was showing and I hadn't even ordered. So sadly no add on cookie or brownie for us. I selected the one trip salad bar. Food 3/5Service 3/5We stopped here after a trip back from the coast to grab a quick sandwich off I26. We will not be stopping again. The food came out quick but the sandwiches were lacking flavor, especially the Philly cheesesteak. It needed some mayonnaise or thousand island. The bread was very thick. The broccoli salad was ok. The macaroni and cheese for the kids was super runny and made a huge mess. The cheesecake was good but I've had better. I would recommend heading down to Firehouse Subs, it definitely tastes better.
Within walking distance of our hotel, my husband and I walked over to get him dinner. He decided on the Charleston Philly. There were lots of choices on menu. He was pleased with it. But, said he had had better before. It was also on the small side for him and he would have preferred being able to only purchase the sandwich without having to purchase the chips with. Overall, we would pick up something there again if we were staying in the hotels nearby.
I was thinking wow, this baked potato is huge, but there was like a tsp of dried up bacon, 1 tblsp of sour cream, and 9 tiny lil 1MM square cubes of butter.....and it was 8.99. I know there 's inflation, but SERIOUSLY?? very disappointed ?It was DRY, and it was "an extra charge for more sour cream "will not be on my list of places to go eat

Went for the first time and have no complaints. Pretty standard deli fare plus super sized baked potatoes. We had hamburgers, soup, sandwich, potato and salad and all of us found our food tasty. Service was quick and very friendly. Lots of parking which is always a plus. Good bangs for our bucks!
I have experienced diarrhea within hours of eating at East Bay Deli 04-28-23. Apparently they are not clean there and the food has bacteria.
Wide range of food! Love the atmosphere. Dog-friendly seating outside. Conveniently located. Family free and the best salad bar.
Great salad bar. The staff prepare the salad for you; no more self-serv and I'm happy about that. Bar is always spotless!
