El Chaparro doesn?t try to be anything other than its genuine, phenomenal self. You?re not getting some overly flashy display where the food is an afterthought. You?re getting an authentic, delicious meal cooked served by hard-working, friendly staff in a comfortable and personable setting. Prices are fair, food comes out quickly, and staff are almost always attentive to our table?s needs. I?ll come back as many times as they?ll tolerate me mispronouncing ?Jarritos.?

There was a favorite I ordered from a place I went to when I lived in North Carolina, and I was absolutely in LOVE with her mole of Poblano sauce, and since I moved out of NC in 2013, I was looking for somewhere that has sauce like her. El Chaparro is now and will continue to be my favorite as long as I am in Lincoln that this court was so nostalgic. So happy and so delicious! (And fill in)

this restaurant is one of my favorite things about living in the Near South. food is always fresh delicious; service is speedy yet friendly. I often go in, place my order, wait in the car for 5 minutes pick it up. pretty sure the Runza drive-through across the street is no quicker or cheaper.

Really delicious. I had a burrito with tongue and my husband had tacos . I like that they give plenty of salsa options. Also great that they have a kids menu with fries and nuggets! Everyone was happy. Fast service. Will eat here again.

Best late night food! I suggest getting the pineapple water with the green salsa, carne asada chilaquiles. I also love the ceviche, burritos and mole enchiladas. Incredible place with reasonable prices.
