The experience at El Tepehuan was mixed. The chimichanga was tasty, but I accidentally burned my finger on the hot plate that the waitress did not warn me about. The service was not great, as no one greeted me at the door and I had to wait too long to be seated. When I finally was seated, it took a while for someone to take my drink order and bring me a menu and utensils. I felt overlooked and unhappy, especially when I saw another customer receive prompt service. I left feeling disappointed and frustrated, and decided to find another restaurant for my big chimichanga fix. I asked to speak to the manager, but unfortunately she was not available.
Based on the majority of reviews, we were expecting better. We ordered the special for five people and were told it would be ready in under 10 minutes, which should have been a warning sign. The food was of fast food quality, or perhaps even lower, as everything was soggy and extremely greasy. It was also overly salty, leaving us feeling unwell after eating. We were disappointed, especially considering how close and local the restaurant is. We will not be returning.
I have been dining at this restaurant regularly for the past 25 years, and the quality, flavor, and overall experience are always excellent. El Tepejuan is a family-owned and operated establishment that serves the best burritos in the world. My favorite is the crushed beef and potato burrito with green chili and cheese - it is unbeatable. Their red enchilada sauce is the best I've ever had. I can't see myself ever getting tired of eating here.
I always enjoy dining at this restaurant. They offer delicious Mexican dishes that are close to authentic. I have tried several items on the menu and have never been disappointed. The food at this place is comparable to some of the best Mexican restaurants in the Denver area. The carnitas here are especially delicious. Overall, this is a restaurant I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a great Mexican dining experience.

Average. The prices are way to high and they don't do (at least not for me) special orders, kind of like don't add cheese in the burrito please Very frustrating , definitely won't come back. The restaurant looks cool tho and I guess if you are not picky of what you eat then it might will work out for you. Also, great location, but nothing more, unfortunately
I was here on family dinner. I'm not from Colorado, trying out Mexican food this place did not disappoint. Food was great service was great as well. Had a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old who also enjoyed it. It's hard to please kids at this age luckily my nephews enjoyed themselves thanks to the service which made all of us have a pleasant time as well.
My parents have been loyal customers of El Tep for over 30 years, and my brother and I have followed suit. This restaurant never fails to impress. Recently, my dad brought a delicious takeaway lunch to my place.
The food is fantastic, the service is excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I have eaten here more than 40 times in the past 4 years. It is my son's favorite Mexican restaurant.

This restaurant is a reliable favorite in the area. They have recently relocated to a spacious and colorful new location. Our waitress was wonderful and the food is still delicious.
