Food was amazing and it has been both times that I have been here. Today however I felt rushed, our server brought the check when I hadn't even dug in to my German pancake, and although my boyfriend was still eating she asked no less than 3 times if we wanted a to go box....totally unacceptable!...but in any case I won't let that ruin my sentiment about this place.

This is a hometown breakfast place like Denny's, except clean with good service. California's minimum wage means a breakfast bowl costs $17.00. But it is like that everywhere in California, and Elmer's makes you appreciate that these folks are getting paid properly.

It started with pepsi products, which was flat when arrived. I knew that was a red flag. Then the breakfast arrived which was just average. Not sure why this place is always packed.

A very good and organized staff. The food tasted very good and the fruit and vegetables were fresh. The stay in the restaurant was very pleasant.
