We arrived a few minutes early for a booking and were seated immediately. The ambiance was nice good decor, a buzz of conversation and friendly waiter. As the restaurant filled up it got the buzz got a bit louder kitchen sounds, chairs scraping, voices raised as the volume increased, piped music, and tv sound, all added to a bit of a din, reflected back at us by the tiled walls and hard surfaces. By the time we finished our meal I would say the sound level was irritatingly noisy. The food and drink were good, but we were a bit disappointed with the calamari with spicy garnish (we order two plates because we love calamari) which was almost all fried batter and very little squid. Great service but very limited food choices. I’m confused at the high reviews, Sunday Brunch is a person with very few choices to pick from and the dessert bar is extremely pathetic, looks days old and dried up brownies, you can tell that they didn’t even bake them fresh, totally disgusting breakfast food, the only soup option is porridge, how sad is that? EMC should rethink about adding more food choices for that price point or lower the price by at least half. Even the mimosa sucks. Food that are supposed to be hot wasn’t even hot. Wouldn’t come back here ever again. There are plenty of better restaurants that will make your tummy happy with that price point, seriously don’t bother wasting...
Went to EMC to celebrate the New Year with my wife. The Happy Hour menu, including the oysters, is a great value. The raw oysters were plump and fresh. We also ordered the fried zucchini and the chicken wings, though neither one was particularly good. I suggest sticking with the seafood offerings like the steamed mussels and the clams. The steamed clams had a lot of grit to them, so be forewarned that you may feel a little sand in your mouth. The ambiance is great for group dinners and celebrations. The wait staff was attentive and friendly
pity that there is no option for recommendations. the ketel a martini 's were perfect and icy, the shishimi was top notch, melt in her mouth delicious! the place is very bright and loud! not exactly what was desired for our group, tired from a long day at a fair in anaheim. might be great for an energetic group that has an even louder concert or other rambunctious event.

We had reservations at The restaurant was half full. We didn’t sit down until at the table we were staring at for minutes. Server took forever to come over and the restaurant wasn’t loud but he whispered the whole time. We all looked at each other like what the heck. Food was delicious as usual
love the HH Specials esp the $1. the uni pasta was a little expensive, but so tasty and full of taste that it was worth it. Cunning noodles were also really good. I'm not a Brussel-Spruder person, but the dish was actually delicious. bookmarked for a return visit esp during hh!
Kind of greasy preparation on many of the dishes But..the oysters were very good and well prepared. I would go back for the oysters, but not that impressed with the rest of the menu
