I stopped in on a whim early on a Saturday night. The bartender's beer recommendation was spot on and, while they had many healthier offerings, I went for a simple burger and fries. All quite good. The music started at 7 with a band I'd never heard of The Bad Backs a really talented ensemble that I genuinely enjoyed. This looks like a great place to play especially for those of occasional musicians among us who mostly play for friends. Or just gather a bunch of friends and listen to whoever's playing there now. I need to come here more often.
I love Epicure Cafe it is an awesome place. Good food. Good music and awesome people. Always on up front with local and national music and art. You need to support this awesome place. In the land of corporate restaurants and music clubs in NOVA it is refreshing to have a place like this that's community based. Gus is awesome and works hard on making an inviting place for everyone. Love love love this place. I come in from Haymarket to Epicure Cafe and you need to do the same.
What a fun place! We only found it by googling 'live music in Fairfax ' and are thrilled to discover the amazing jazz music, great food, and a really friendly and fun atmosphere--and right in our suburban neighborhood! The wait staff are terrific, too. We look forward to visiting on other nights to check out the poetry and comedy nights!
The food has been great. Love the curried chicken dish!! They now serve a limited variety of hard liquor, which I am happy about since I do not drink wine or beer. I love to eat my dinner while enjoying the poetry readings, comedy and music of the Harried Americans and other area musicians every month. :

Love the live sets and great food! Our band has played there many times. They are super friendly and bring out they best crowds to watch shows!
large eating and great mood they have a good choice of vegan food. the vegan meatballs sub and the vegan donut holes and both were delicious!
From 'open Mic ' nights and their bi-monthly art exhibitions to the amazing food, this is one hip and happenin ' place!
