RACIAL PROFILING, HIGHLY DISAPPOINTINGI was visiting Duke for my commencement ceremony (shoutout class of 2020) and wanted to enjoy a nice dinner with two of my fellow graduates, at the WaDuke.My friends and I are all young black males, of graduation age. When we walked into the restaurant and asked for a table, the host said they will need to go talk to their manager to see if we could get a table. This was already slightly suspicious because we were confused why they couldn't just use the system to see if there are spare tables and why they needed to speak to a manager to figure that out, but we waited. the dark, brittle chocolate slices were delicious, and the cream filling reminded me pleasantly of the wafers they can buy in the load – they know them. they come in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry varieties and the texture of the wafer is almost karton, but it is somehow really addictive? that was like this, but a million times brighter in taste.
