We drove here to pick up our order, but when we arrived, there was a sign on the door stating that they do not accept personal pickups and that we should either call or order online. We called from outside the restaurant, which was busy, but no one answered. We then tried to place an order online, but just as we were entering our payment information, we received an error message saying that they do not accept pickup orders. Frustrated, we decided to go inside to ask for help, only to be informed that we would have to wait 40 minutes. Overall, it was a huge waste of time and an extremely uncomfortable experience.
Decent Chinese food, where the options are very limited. They have a very large menu and some inexpensive options, considering it's just off shore. I recommend sticking to the Chinese dishes, as the Thai food is not authentically flavored, and bland even, but some may like that!. Currently (May 2022) the dining room remains closed, and they are open only for take out. Call very well ahead of time during high season you may need an hour and a half or more at times to receive your order.
We visited the Lake and Shore campsite and chose this restaurant based on the glowing reviews, and we were not disappointed! The food was fantastic and far superior to my local Chinese restaurant back home. We ordered General Tso's chicken and chicken pad Thai, and the portion sizes were generous. The staff was incredibly friendly as well. I will definitely return here during my next camping trip!
I ordered a small portion of sesame chicken, but the serving size was quite small, and the sauce portion was very limited. The place I usually go to back home can barely close the container for the chicken and gives double the sauce. I've heard nothing but good things about this place, finally tried them now that we have a summer place nearby. We liked it a lot. I'm not sure it lived up to the hype, but we may be spoiled with a couple of good places at home. I look forward to ordering from them again.
