Famous Dave's BBQ is a chain of restaurants specializing in American barbecue. We tried a variety of their offerings in the Three Meat Combo, including the juicy, pleasantly chewy Tri Tip, Burnt Ends (fatty chunks of brisket in a sticky sauce), and my favorite, the Southside Rib Tips (lean, tender, meaty pork ribs served with sauce on the side). The plate also came with crusty toasted white bread, pickled onions/cucumbers, sweet cornbread, and a choice of two sides. We had Dave's Cheesy Mac Cheese (which included corn in the grainy cheese sauce) and Wilbur Beans (baked beans in a sweet tomato-based sauce mixed with chopped meat and sausages). I picked up some of their St Louis style Spare Ribs for takeout. They currently have a special $10 off $30 item. St. Louis Style Spareribs: Hand rubbed with Dave's secret blend of spices and pit smoked for 3 4 hours over a smoldering hickory fire. Then slathered with Rich Sassy BBQ sauce over an open flame to seal in the Famous flavor with a crispy, caramelized coating. This location has a juicier Sparerib than the one in San Jose.
We love coming to famous Dave's on winton! The staff is always so nice and attentive to us. Today we had Brittney as our server and she went above and beyond for us, even brought out our toddlers food first so he could eat right away. Food was delicious and I swear they have the best pickles and cornbread ever. 10/10 food and service!
I don't understand all those bad reviews... Service was great: Chanel took such a good care of us, she was nice smiling and helpful The food was delicious we got brisket pork barbecue chicken and ribs. For dessert we had bread pudding. My daughter loved everything. My boy Loved everything everybody was happy!!!

Good bbq food and sauces. Our group tried a variety of meats and salads. Smoked turkey breast was good. Please add a new side dish, sweet potato fries! We were seated right away on a Friday night. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Large portions and delicious fare at Famous Dave's. Glad I finally found a good BBQ joint in Hayward. Family friendly too. Large menu...many options. The ribs were succulent, tender and yummy.
Burnt ends, prior to about 2 years ago, these were amazingly soft. But now they are not edible. The fat and meat is chewy, hard, and not cooked long enough.
